Derek Carlson, founder and CEO of Northstar Pontoons, is a third-generation pontoon builder whose lifelong passion for water, family, and fishing inspired the creation of his company.

Recognizing a market gap for affordable yet durable pontoons that balance fishing capabilities with family-friendly cruising features, Derek established Northstar Pontoons to provide handcrafted, high-quality, customizable vessels at accessible price points.

Derek resides in Mora, Minnesota with his wife, Brenda, where he remains deeply involved in local community initiatives.
